I don’t know where to begin to say how much Sue has helped me. I am so much stronger, balanced and fit than I have ever been. I am so much stronger in my core which really helps with riding my horses and so many other things as well. Pilates is challenging but Sue is an excellent instructor, very knowledgeable and willing to help you understand. I highly recommend her in person or through the internet, Both have been great for me. Thanks, Sue. You really are great!

Everday activities are easier

Working with Sue has transformed my body to the point that I stick out a leg and ask close friends and family members to check out my muscles. It’s astonishing to be 51 years old and in the absolute best shape of my life. Just yesterday I got down on the floor in front of my husband to show him a move I’ve finally mastered. I really can’t believe the results I’ve produced through Pilates with Sue.

We began training in her studio and switched to sessions via FaceTime. What a joy to not have to pack anything and hit the road to go somewhere. FaceTime means I can see and hear her, she can see and hear me, and I don’t develop bad habits or skip sessions because I can’t take the time to drive to the studio; I just prop up my phone.

The way I lift a laundry basket has changed. The way I go up a flight of stairs has changed. The way I stand has changed. The way I breathe has changed. OK, I’m just going to say it: sex has changed. Why? She taught me to pay more attention to how I’m moving my body, trained my muscles to work together in the way they should, eased me into doing moves on a regular basis until they clicked in my brain, and gave me the stamina to complete them with the strength I never thought I’d have.

I’ve tried a ton of different ways to get into and stay in shape: aerobics back in the 80s, karate in the 90s, yoga in the early 2000s. I hated sit-ups as a kid because I never could do them. I played softball and volleyball through high school. I’ve never been a true athlete, but feel and move like one now. Nothing has felt so right to my body than Pilates. Do this with Sue!

I miss Sue

I have worked with Sue Engstrom for 2 years. She is very knowledgeable about the human body and designs the best fitness plan for each individual. Sue varies her workouts and covers all areas. She is able to adapt exercises to a person’s abilities and limitations. She really helped me with my balance, posture, strength and core. I really enjoy working with Sue as she cares about her clients and has great follow-up. Sue is fun to work with, and the time goes by too quickly. I miss her very much.

What a difference!

I have been a faithful client of Sue’s for over 4 years. What a difference her workouts have made in my life! She has this sneaky way of combining simple small movements that create huge results. I have struggled with hip strength all my life, which lead to knee injuries. Attending Sue’s classes have given new strength to my hips and core so much so that I haven’t had any knee pain flare ups. That new strength has improved my mountain biking – I am a beast at climbing hills. I recently took a backpacking trip and I know for sure I wouldn’t have the strength or endurance to carry that heavy pack for four days if it wasn’t for her incredible workouts. I have gained tone in those hard to get out places (triceps) and learned a lot of great techniques to keep my body strong. I will miss her workouts dearly but will try to channel my inner Sue.

Sue is extraordinarily knowledgeable

I worked individually with Sue for 3 months this summer & last while in her area. Sue is extraordinarily knowledgeable in her field. I always felt she listened well to my concerns & adapted her lessons accordingly. She watched every second to be sure I was doing the exercises correctly. I wish her well and will miss her.

Amazing

Sue is amazing instructor. She has years of experience and is very knowledgeable about proper form and alignment. I have lower back and knee issues and Sue is always peaking and correcting to make sure I am doing the proper exercise and not causing any injuries. The studio is neat and clean and the equipment is clean. Small class sizes so lots of attention to detail. Parking right in front.
